Terms of use

Utsav Rakshak is software a mandal uses to run entry at its own event. These terms say what that means for the committee running it and for the person holding a pass.

1. Who provides this service

This service is provided by [to be filled: registered name], at [to be filled: registered address]. In these terms, “we” means that entity and “the app” means Pravesh ID.

2. What the app does, and what it does not

The app issues passes for an event, and checks them at a gate. A mandal sets up its own event, its own ticket tiers and prices, its own gates and its own staff. We provide the software; the mandal runs the event.

We are not the organiser, the ticket seller, or a party to the event. The committee decides who gets in, what a pass costs, and what happens at its gate. Questions about an event go to the mandal running it.

3. We never hold your money

This is the most important thing on this page. When somebody buys a pass, they pay a named committee member’s UPI account directly. The app shows whose account it is before payment, records that a payment was claimed, and then records a human on the committee confirming it. At no point does money pass through us.

That is why the refund policy says what it says: a refund is the mandal’s to give, because the mandal received the money.

4. Accounts

5. Identity checks

Some mandals require an identity check before a pass becomes usable. A committee member looks at a physical document and records that they did so.

We never record a document number and never take a photograph of a document. There is no field for a number, no camera, and no upload. What is recorded is the kind of document, the name and date of birth as shown on it, and who looked. The privacy policy explains why.

6. Holds on unpaid seats

When a buyer says they have paid, the seat is held for 30 minutes while a committee member confirms the payment. If it is not confirmed in that time, the seat returns to the pool automatically. A held seat is not a sold seat.

7. Records we keep even if you ask us to erase you

You can erase your account at any time (see the privacy policy). Erasing removes your name, email and phone number.

It does not remove the record that a pass was scanned at a gate, or that a payment was confirmed, or that an identity was checked. Those records are append-only by design: they are how a committee answers “who let this person in?” after the night. They are kept without your identity attached.

8. Acceptable use

9. Availability

The gate is built to keep working when the network does not — it verifies passes from a signed list held on the device. Everything else needs a connection. We do not promise the service is uninterrupted, and we do not promise it is free of defects.

10. Liability

We provide the software as it is. We are not liable for the conduct of an event, for a decision a committee makes at its gate, for money a mandal did or did not collect, or for loss arising from an event being cancelled, curtailed or changed.

11. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The date at the top changes when we do. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at [to be filled: city of jurisdiction] have exclusive jurisdiction.

13. Reaching us
